Welcome to Night Sky Lamb
We are a family owned ranch in Eastern New Mexico, where we raise all-natural grass fed lamb on native pastures using holistic range management methods. We are not a large company, just a family ranch wanting to share our good healthy lamb with you.
From our personal experience on the high market prices of lamb, we have decided to make lamb available to everyone by selling directly to you from our farm. We use no growth hormones, no GMO’s, no antibiotics. Only grass fed lambs born and raised on our ranch.

Christo was born and raised on a sheep ranch in the Karoo in South Africa. He has been around sheep, specifically Dorpers, for 46 plus years. He grew up eating lamb that was raised and butchered on the farm in Africa and now wants to share that experience with you.

Christo immigrated to the US in 1996. He graduated from the TCU Ranch Management Program in Fort Worth TX. Later he went back to TCU and graduated with a BBA. He managed ranches for several big outfits in South Texas until six years ago he decided to get back to his roots.

In 2007, Christo married Billie Jo M. Barnhoorn. We have two children, who would rather stay on the ranch than go to school. They cannot wait for ‘braai’ on Friday evenings. They especially like ‘skilpadtjies’ on the braai.
